Winter Fruit Salad

Winter is always a bit of a drag with the variety of fruit available - especially if you are trying to consume fresh fruit and veges which are grown in season and within a few hundred Kms away from where you live.

Local food distribution system ensures a significant reduction in the carbon emissions that are associated with transporting food long distances.... so think about where you buy your produce from next time...save the earth - one bite of an apple at a time.

Winter Fruit Salad - eaten with a bowl of walnuts cashews and almonds ( to the side so they don't get all manky and soft.)
kiwifruit
rockmelon
grapes
apple

I love the simplicity of single fruit and veges - no sauces or other fuss. We made this huge salad and sat it in the middle of the table and just picked....
pear
